September 2026

As hard as it is to believe, we’re half way through September already and the end of the riding season is coming into view.

Today I rode my motorcycle around in Wisconsin, enjoyed some pie, sat along a stream and read a few pages from a book. In this place, a meadow full of asters and goldenrod, located in a valley with a stream burbling over rocks into a clear pool, I enjoyed quiet with hundreds of dragonflies filling the air above my head and Monarch and Fritillary butterflies fluttering from flower to flower on the asters. I am blessed to still be riding a motorcycle and enjoying this beauty.

Here are some photos from my ride today. There is great beauty out there, and it is not there by accident. God made this for us. I hope you enjoy these photos.

To my friends who didn’t just “hear”, but listened: thank you. To my friends who called so often, even when it was inconvenient: you are very special. To my friends who hugged me warmly and sincerely so many times: you mean more than you will ever know. To my friends who actually prayed for me: you are dear. To my friends who share a commonality: I get you (IYKYK) and I love you. To my friends who are struggling with their faith, I promise you that you are not alone, and God is with you. To my friends who are struggling in their journey, I’m praying for you.

Thanks for looking.
